Welcome to Karara, Taken from the Punjabi word meaning ‘Spicy’ (but delicious). Karara is an exciting way to enjoy delicious, aromatic, traditional food from Kent’s reputed Indian chef, Paul Babra.
Born in Jodhpur, in northern India, Paul Babra has many fond memories of his mother and aunts making traditional chutneys, preserves and pickles, filling his childhood home with heady aromas.
Even today, the smell of a particular spice blend or a taste of a carefully concocted chutney takes him right back to that kitchen in India.
Karara foods offers a fantastic menu to suit all tastes and appetites, with a choice of outside dining, events, takeout or even a chance to experience his curry workshops, there is something for everyone to suit their budget. providing authentic Indian Cuisine he has allowed many to taste the traditional aromatic spices of India.
Karara is a culmination of Paul’s experience and skills, bringing the real taste of India to Kent, the UK and across the world.
His ventures spread further and further over the years, leasing with reputable organisations both locally, nationally and internationally.
Charity organisations are also close to Paul’s heart and he has used his culinary experience to support those in their time of need by providing free, hot, and fresh food to the homeless and less fortunate.
Paul travels with his catering all over Kent, the Uk and recently has expanded into Europe
